Well finally saw a doc.....the prognosis? Well a bunch of "coulda's", "mightas" lol

Took an X ray of my back, on my last lumabr disk that should have the most disk/padding doesn't. Said it could be degenated. Cause its not as thick as it should be, however from what i could see it had just as much padding as my others.

he then should me a bone spur on my hips, that might lead to trouble later in life. OR he said it could be the way my bone is shaped.....So?

As OF right now.....I dunno what to do. I am thinking about going to see a back specalist who specializes in bodybuilders/sports type people For a 2nd opinion and see if I can get more of an answer.

Any thoughts from you guys?

Without a doubt...2nd opinion, nothing wrong with that. Any Legitimate Dr. will tell you the same. Esecially when it comes to a bunch of could'ofs or might'ofs. I'd see a specialist.
Good luck ba...

i always go to someone that deals exclusively with athletes, even if its not an athletic injury. It has always been my experiance that they are much better qualified and more apt at dealing with athletes.

I just kinda confused, cause i know an athletes body will have some "wear and tear" on it. But still perform at its potential . Kinda like a stock car....vs a normal car.

Or is that a bad analogy?

I'm also thinking of doing somthing different with my training. Only maxing out maybe 4 times a year at most. Like every 3 months, to cut back on the heavy poundages. And do alot of "building" the maxes work. Without actually maxing. This as oposed to tryingt o get a new PR every workout as such by west side.

thoughts?

Another thought might be going for 3rm's as opposed to a true max. You could even go as far as setting your goal to bring up this 3rm.

Andrew do you supplement with anything? I became a believer in that after a few close calls with knees and shoulders...

Glucosomine
Fish Oil
Chondroitin
MSM
SAMe
Hyaluronic Acid

In order of effectiveness IMO...

yea I would definitely back off your maxes and do 3-5 maxes now....get 2nd and 3rd opinion by the way from specialists....this doctor doesn't seems to know $hit, and that's not where you want to be.... I don't want a F gray area where my health and lifting is concerned...

get better man

Ye ai'll look into that stuff, but I thought it was mainly for joints? Guess the back is a semi joint i guess lol. I'll give it a try.
