Hello there everyone! I used to think that this was a waste of time for my wife to be on, that typing on the computer for an hour a day could be better spent elsewhere (my wife is known as "asimmer" in this forum). After all, what good is it to type to people you will probably never meet in person?
I have since changed my mind, however, after hearing about the support and advice this "community" has been so free with. I am a very busy person, doing plumbing and heating four days a week from 6am untill getting home around 6pm, also attending night school two nights a week from 6pm till 9pm. Obviously this kind of schedule leaves little free time, and when you spend your workday hauling out old water heaters, boilers and generally wrenching overhead, you have little steam left for your days off, let alone weightlifting.
Since my wife has gotten involved in your site, her drive has increased and that inturn has made me question just how I've been treating my body. I have now made it a priority to regain my health so that I can enjoy life, rather than simply recovering on my days off! Reading the various posts from such a wide range of experiences gives me hope that regular working joes can enjoy good health too, so while I may not be as vocal as my wife ( you honey!) I will give my two cents when seems appropriate and end by saying I appreciate all the people who selflessly give their time, making this fourm work so well! Thank you.
