I suffer from what I call "no torso syndrome"! I'm 5'9" and 130lbs (I think). I have a 28 inch waist and 38 inch hips. Unfortunally my waist size doesn't gradually flow into my hip size since I have hardly no torso...it's more like 28 inches stops, and 38 inches starts!
I'm scared to do oblique exercises because I don't want them to get bigger. Whats the secret to getting the sides of my hips more toned and lose some fat without making my muscles huge????
Thanks for any help!

Hi Tanya & Welcome! You'll see it said over and over around here, you cannot spot reduce. Trust me, I wish I could as well! A general rule of thumb for toning is lighter weights, high reps (repititions), or just use your body weight. Also, having larger shoulders will make the mid section look smaller. Try going a little heavier with your shoulder workouts! Good luck!

Thanks, I'm a beginner. So even though they may have posted it previously...I haven't had a chance to read EVERY post ever :)
Thanks for your help!!!

I am blessed with the 5'9" 36 hip thing also...diet is what everyone stressed for me (still working on that) but as long as I don't use weights for my obliques, other than a few nasty veins working abs is great
