I want to put on weight but not fat. I look after my nutrition quite a bit but still it's not enough for me to gain the muscles I want . Whatever it takes I'll do it but
dont tell me " you can't build up without putting some fat its a thin balance between fat and the necessary nutrients but its a chance I have to take"
So I'm thinking of taking a supplement
what would be the right one. Mainly I would like something with mainly protein and some carbs! What do you suggest?

well first off, as long as your working hard, the fat won't really come into play because you'll be burning it. with that said, it is what you eat that will add on weight. getting enough calories, protein, carbs and nutrients. try to shoot for like 4000 calories a day if you want to put on weight.
but supplement wise, i would look into weight gainers. the problem i have with them though is that they usually make you take like 3 scoops for a serving and last like 2 weeks (as far as i've seen..there may be better though). so it might get costly. so i would get up to about 4000 calories a day with very high protein intake, then look into a protein supplement (Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey seems to be the most popular...i use GNC Egg and Whey and am very happy with it). Creatine would help if you're interested (i would go with Prolab micronized creatine monohydrate). and of course a multivitamin to top it off.
but get your caloric intake up, and DON'T WORRY ABOUT GAINING A LITTLE FAT. if you work hard, it won't be a big factor.
-------------- Get your weight up, kid

there is a good powder to help you gain wieght. go to gnc, and ask for UP YOUR MASS. i begin to work out 2 year's ago, at 150 pounds. in the first three months i got up to 185, then a month later i was 195, then finally got up to 200 lbs. in about a year. i then changed to nitro tech after that. and now i am 210 lbs, with 8.5% body fat. so it can be done, you can keep your six pack and still get big, i did!
