Hey All !! I was looking for anyone that might be familiar with the Warrior Diet?!? I just started it and I feel as if all the raw fruits and veggies are making me BLOATED:(. Which in turn makes me feel swollen and heavier. HELP!! Is this normal for the first weeks??? Or perhaps this isnt working. Thanks so much!

Maybe you have increased your fiber too quickly - you need to up your fiber intake gradually.
Have you increased your water intake drastically? This is another thing you may want to phase into.
Why don't you tell us a little about the Warrior Diet? I think I have read a review of the book, but that is all.

You nailed it for me...I have increased my fiber and a ton of water. I think I take in about 6 24 oz bottles a day. I gave up the soda pops:( So far I havent missed them. On the Warrior Diet, you basically eat raw fruits and veggies during the day with water. You are allowed to eat whatever you want at night, just so you eat your food in order. Such as, Salad, Protien, and save your Carbs for last. I just bought a new Home Weight System and cant wait for it to get set up!! Thanks so much for your responses. :big_smile:

Asimmer...nope no protien during the day. Only RAW fruits and Veggies. I take in all my protien at night. Is this bad?:(

You'll probably want to get some protein during the day. Otherwise your body will likely begin breaking down muscle for energy. you'll continue losing weight, but that's not the kind of weight you want to lose.
I hadn't heard of this book before. What's the title and who's the author? Sounds like an interesting concept.

Mzakal...The book is called the "Warrior Diet" by Ori Hofmekler. So far, I have had alot more energy with the Raw fruits and Veggies than all the junk I use to eat. The book is very interesting. He basically takes you back to the "caveman" days with the eatting habits. I am not one to weigh myself (too depressing), However I have noticed that i have more energy with the change in my diet. :big_smile:

I just wanted to let you all know (if anyone cares LOL ) I finally got my Weight System Exerciser up last night and was up til 1:30 this morning...I LOVE IT! Keep your fingers crossed for my continuing inspiration for Get'n fit in 2005!! Take care:big_smile:

No protein during the day is definitely setting you up for muscle loss, but see how it goes. If you are getting smaller but not denser, more toned looking, then you are losing valuable muscle.

Assuming that dietary protein sources from plants are reasonably varied and caloric intake is sufficient to meet energy needs, plant sources of protein can provide adequate amounts of essential and non essential amino acids. Whole grains, legumes, vegetables, seeds, and nuts all contain essential and nonessential amino acids.
