Hey Yall
Quick question...my goal is to lose the fat and "tone up after that" Fat being about 15lbs. So my hubby who looks great, eats right, cardios (baseball) and lifts (off season). He's been following this general pattern for a long time. We were talking about FT and how my work out says I need to lift 3 x a week and cardio 2x. He says that if all Im trying to do is lose fat all I have to do is eat right and jog (which would be plenty of cardio for me) about five times during the week. He says I don't really need to weight lift to get the results and after all I'm not going to be a body builder. So what do yall think? Why do you need to do the muscle routines if you really just want to drop 15 lbs? How much does it help? Will it tone me while I am losing weight? Does it make me lose weight faster? Whats the deal? Thanks*

Sosaia,
Muscle mass burns more calories, is more dense and is sexy. I doubt you will become massive due to your hormone profile, but it will make you feel better, allow you to eat more, and help burn calories. I bumped the do it like the boys do it series for you. I think that series may answer a lot of questions for you.

Below your topic here there are four topics labeled Do it like the boys do it. Parts 1-conclusion. You just have to click on them and read em. Bump just means I pulled them from within the forum and brought them to the top so you could find them easier.
