welcome manders..

hello..the nutrition plan does tend to lean really high on the calorie intake..

basically to break it down in simplest terms its aprrox. 10 cal per pound.. so basically you shouldnt eat less than 2000 calories a day... do a FTbuddy search at the bottom of the page for "calorie intake" you will find all the posts for disccusion on this topic and be sure to read the diet thread :)

Hi Manders - A balnced diet and a solid exercise plan will help you get healthier and lose weight.

Lower the fat you consume from animal products and increase the amount of vegetables and fruit you are eating. Eat 5-6 small meals a day, when possible, and make sure each meal has some protein and some complex crabohydrates, even some good fat.

For example - 1/2 - 1 cup lowfat cottage cheese and an apple is a nice mid-morning snack.

There are tons of posts ion the nutrition forum about what to eat and how to eat well.

at 272 lbs, I would start you with an intake of 2,300 calories, which is still a lot of food. You may find you don't get that many calories in, that is okay - aim for 1,800-2,000 on avergae and see how your body responds.

Keep reading and keep learning! The more you learn the better your results will be.
