Hi everyone I'm new here. I have had an ankle injury that slowed me down a couple of years ago. I am now almost fit ( the occasional pain in my ankle), but I am very upset that I have allowed myself to gain weight. It was all down to plain laziness, I would admit. I am looking for any plan to loose the weight and tone my body again

Hello there...
Sure I can give you some tips...

FIRST

Work from the inside out...
If your body feels healthy and vigorous, you will always have that amazing energy to keep up with your workouts...
So...eat good and clean... and by that I mean as natural as possible...as my book says "live in the city, eat from the Jungle"©2009
-You can eat a lot of veggies and fruits so you don?t feel hungry
-limit your fat intake ?saturated fats from animal? and what I call ?thick fat?
Think about these examples:
Take a portion of fat from meat and put it under very hot water?does it melt?
Absolutely not!!!
Now take peanut butter and put it under very hot water: ?it will melt almost instantly!!! Right? Yes!!!
Which means your body does not have to work so hard to metabolize it?and it will slow your metabolism then you feel tired?
SO REMEMBER!!! EAT VERY HEALTHY SO YOU CAN SEE AMAZING RESULTS VERY FAST.

-SECOND
If you want to loose some good weight fast try eating without salt for few weeks and you will see how amazing you feel and I guaranteed that you will drop up to 5 lb of water alone?
See? most of our weight is a lot of water? because we eat to much salt.
CUT THE SALT? YOU DON?T NEED IT
Veggies, fruits and natural fats like peanut butter already have sodium?enough for your body and its natural state.

Third

Lots of water is very good for you? but only necessary when you feel thirsty?
Too much water can actually dilute sodium necessary in your body to keep your cells healthy?? after all your muscles need sodium to function properly? and breakdown fat.

Fourth

Vitamins and MINERALS are very important? if you input your entire food intake into freetrainers.com personal diet it will show you your entire intake?
Make sure minerals like calcium, Iron, Zink and Potassium are in good intake?
These minerals are amazing and necessary to loose and metabolize fat.

And last but not least:
Keep active,
Do your 30 min cardio in the mornings, ?on empty stomach?
Then follow with protein shake. Tea instead of coffee ?try eliminating coffee and drink green tea instead? it will raise your metabolism.

Do weights in mid afternoon?when your body has more nutrients and you can have more energy?.
Always listen to your body and see what works for you?
Not two people are the same ?but well eating will help you the most!!!

Eat more (6 to 8 times)?
Always pack your food the night before?
I do something like this

My bag for the day: 170gr protein, around 250 gr carbs, around 30 gr fat

2 apples
1 cup carrots
1 cup red peppers
1 cup celery
1 cup tuna
1 cup berries or grapes
1 chicken breast
½ cup brown rice
6 boiled eggs or egg whites (no yolks)
Soy protein powder
Whey protein powder
1 Banana
3 cups of oatmeal
2 slices or whole-wheat bred
1 Tbsp peanut butter

So I try to get my energy from carbs instead of fat?. Because your body burn carbs faster ?specially if you workout with weights.

I use them and get excellent results every day!!!
