I don't know if this is against the rules, but I thought some women would like this in compliments of FreeTrainers. I have started an online support group (positive) for women in the process of losing weight. Any woman can join as long as they join the group as a means to lose weight or support those who are trying. There will be no judging. It doesn't matter how big or small you are, short or tall, or any ethnicity. Weekly weigh-ins are suggested. For more information, feel free to e-mail me at hayabusatygr@yahoo.com or visit the group at

Thanks for the info, i think that is fine as long as you aren't selling anything. More support is always welcome!

When it comes to weekly weigh-ins, have realistic expectations. the people on biggest loser are being run into the ground to lose large amounts of weight each week and in the long run that isn't healthy. aim for 1-2 pounds a week and remember that water weight will be a factor, so don't stress if the scale goes up a little, down a little.

Also - when you begin a workout routine you may feel slimmer, but not see a change on the sclae, or even see an incraese on the scale. Don't be discouraged. You are shifting body composition and things are happening, you just can't see the change on the scale all of the time.

I advise that people measure their waists, hips, bust, upper arms, thighs and calves (did I miss anything?), then every two weeks, remeasure. this may be more gratifying and productive than the scale.

Good luck, and i will be sure to check out your support group!

Well I didn't base the support group off of the television show. I just chose the name since it seems to have become synonymous with weight loss lately.

By weekly weigh-ins I mean measuring, weigh-in, etc., and it's solely voluntary as well. I have lost 67 lbs in the past year and am working to lose more and tone so I can get back involved in tournament fighting :)

So far the support group is barren, but that's probably because I don't really know where to advertise.
