I am a beginner in weight training and I have my schedule for training through my profile...however...I was wondering how do you determine how much weight you should bench to start out with. Should I be lifting a specific amount to start or how do I know how much to start at??? Is there a method to figure out how much is not to much or to little I don't want to injure myself but I want to feel like I am doing something??? Help! I can't wait to start my workouts!:(

Pick a weight that seems light and do 12-15 reps, if it was too easy, go up a little, you just have to play with it a bit until you find a starting weight. As a new trainee you will see your weights go up fairly quickly as your brain and muscles get more organized and efficient, then the real work begins.
-------------- An old thought for the New Year - \'If you fall down seven times, get up eight\'
What matters is that you continue on.

Also, I would recommend starting a little light and make sure you are using proper form on all exercises. Once you have the form down, increase the weights. Sloppy form with equal injury
