When doing weighted situps, do you treat it like any other muscle group? I.E. like doing 8-12 reps for 3-4 sets?

Yes, the abs are like all the other muscles so no real difference in working them (depending on your goal).
Concentrate and feel the sqeeeze and exhale when you contract.

I do three sets of each ab exercise and I only do abs once aweek, twice if I am feeling froggy!!!
