Hi...I'm new to the site and I have to say I love it. I have a question on my current routine. I like to strength train my entire body twice a week, usually Tues and Fri and I currently do cardio twice a week (I'm really working on getting it up to 4x). My question is...Am I better off doing my strength training using the split routine? My goal is to lose some fat and to tone up. Thanks for any suggestions you may have.
It really depends how much weight training you are doing. If your body likes the way you do it now stay with it. However, if you are spending a lot of time training, more than before you might want to split it up. I find that if I did just 2 days in the gym I would be there for 2-3 hours each day....it just takes a few more sets for me to feel it. But see what gains you make and how your body reacts to it.
