I am not sure if this is where I should post this question, but here goes. Sometimes when I do leg presses I feel this weird tingling in my right quad, almost like a prickling feeling. I don't get it at all on my left one. I always stretch properly before doing legs and it doesn't always occur but when it does I am fearful that I may be injuring myself or tearing a muscle inside so I don't go down very far. What could this be?? I can leg press about 450lbs. I want my quads to grow so I increase my weight every week. Could heavy weight be the culprit? Am I stretching my muscle beyond it's limit? Also, how low should I come with my legs. I see some that bring their knees very low to the chest and some that only bring it to like a 90 degree angle. What's the right way?
i had tingling when i was doing leg presses before and it turned out to be a pinch nerve in my lumbar, also have pinch nerve in my neckand shoulder and wrist from lifting weights pleaes be careful....
I'd get it looked at. If you're using hormonal birth control, I've heard there's some link to blood clots in the legs, which can be extremely dangerous in the long run. I don't think this is something you want to mess with.
