Hi All:

Just got my exercise plan set up. Really excited. Will visit the community off and on for support when I start to slip. Going to go through the first week and then begin incorporating a diet in with the new exercise program. Wish me luck--I seem to fall off programs.

Welcome to freetrainers and good luck!

You need to create a sentence like "I follow through on my program" Or "I am committed and motivated" Something that is a positive statement that is the opposite of falling off programs. Write it on a bunch of index cards and place it where you will see it every morning/evening, the bathroom mirror, the refrigerator.. Also, practice saying it to your self in the mirror - say it convincingly.

It sounds goofy - but it really works to put the suggestion into your mind.

wow! Thank you so much for the great suggestion! Will do it! I have a tendency to talk to myself, so that will be easy.
