diet? I need some observations! And what do you drink other then water? I can drink water,but not everday b/c it gets boring and I need something else to drink besides water.:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh: So what are your 6 small meals a day and what do you drink besides water? Thanks for the help.

6 am 1/2c oatmeal w/cinnamon and splenda, 4 egg whites, 1 slice lowfat cheddar
9am 1c chicken breast (baked or grilled), 1 cup green beans or broccoli, 1/2c rice. maybe some soy sauce or hoisin. 12pm 1 can tuna, 1/2 tbsp mayo, freshh carrots from the farnmer's market (the bomb!) 3pm 1c chicken breast, 1c veggies (eating a lot of fresh green beans lately), 1/4 c rice 6 pm Either same as above or my Post-workout shake (lifting days) which is 55g whey protein, malro-dextrin and dextrose mixed with water. Hope this is helpful! I drink decaffinated tea when I don't want water. Though I still find nothing beats water for cutting thirst.

If your water is really cold it helps to get it down. For a while I drank a lot of crystal lite, but then I decided that I didn't like the idea of the additives that were in it- a glass a day is fine, but I was drinking about a quart and a half. Try keeping some bottles in the fridge so that they are super cold. Then everytime you open it up or walk into the kitchen or something make yourself drink a little out of it.
I also prefer diet rite as the brand of soda that I drink. I find that the flavors are all great I love the white grape, red raspberry, and tangerine flavors. Since the recent Atkins craze you can find 12 packs of cans and even 20oz bottles at Krogers or Publix (US grocery chains in the south). I also use a rule that I only drink water at meal times or with food. This way I get *more* enjoyment out of the non water beverage when I consume it. Plus my sister who is a doctor says you should only drink water at meals, although I'm not sure what scientific proof she has for that :) |

I drink vast amounts of black coffee which is so wrong. But have days when I'm better and drink green tea and even better just water.
How you see things and what you say to yourself needs changing. ''Water is not boring'' isn't the positive of ''water is boring''. But if you say ''Water is a clean tast for my pallet and the best drink for me''. That's positive, true and repeatable everyday. Spice it up with a little ginger or herb teas even a dandelion capsule and/or burdock. Great replacement for coke and the other sodas. But it's down to the individual to train them selves with their likes. Honestly why is Macdonalds such a big business in the world- Because too many people think a burger is nice and a normal meal to grab on the run or to take home or to eat as a pleasurable night out!!! I think a burger and chips is a bag of fat that's greasy, horrible and gonna give me a stroke. So I don't eat it, pure and simple. I've changed my habits having had one stroke already. So lie to yourself about what you like and don't for a while. from an ex burger muncher and ex eater of all that tastes nice but is not. |

I forget my pre-bed snack, which is cottage cheese, a little low sugar yogurt and walnuts.

I see this stuff in the store called la croix. It's some sort of flavored water drink and it comes in pretty pastel packages. I don't know how it tastes, but it's more expensive than diet rite so I haven't tried it. I'd hate to buy the 12 pack and have it end up being disgusting.
I also remembered that I used to drink Fruit2O which you can get in the section of the store that has water. It's about 3 bucks for a pack of 4 drinks, but the drinks have a strong (good) taste so you could water them down more in order to make them last longer (or to dilute the flavor if it's too much for you). |

You have to eat more than that asimmer - that can't be more than 1200 calories there.

It is probably closer to 1600, i tend to fall into my old eating patterns and that was 1600 calories a day. I did asimmer's diet once and never felt better. I was also doing intense ifra red sauna treatment which probably helped the way I felt quite a bit.
Any suggestions on how to stick to this diet? I know I'll feel much better but I never stick to it. I travel a lot for business, any restaurant tips? grilled chicken salad, steamed veggies, baked fish, stirfry - ask for less oil, more veggies.
