Officially introduce yourself to the community by sharing your goals, obstacles or accomplishments. Don't be shy.. we're all here for the same reason. The more support we share the easier it will be to reach our goals!
Kind of like a "club" I guess. Strike up a conversation in the gym. After a while you'll feel more comfortable. Be dedicated and that will help others to accept you. Thanks for joining FT!!
I think coolness is right...it's not that the newcomers are being ingored...it's like the first few days at a new school...it can take a while for people to get to know you. However, when I'm at the gym, I'm there for one reason only..to train. I have on my cd-walkman and pretty much ignore everyone...makes it easier to focus. I'm not rude, just friendly and focused. It's my time for me.
I never mean to ignore anyone, but being a beginner and a single parent- my Gym time is my de-stress time. I try to focus and get done, my time is limited
