Hey guys! I am new to this site and just getting in to the whole weight lifting idea. I have always done cardio- but it just isn't really working for me so I have started the tone-up plan from this site and I am very excited!

I have heard everyone talking about the importance of eating a "clean" diet in order for your body to adjust, burn, and lose weight. What exactly does this entail? And what is an exact example of what I could eat to stay on board with this? And...last but now least...how many calories should I cut is my goal is to lose 5-10 pounds?

Look for a calculator i posted :
BMR and nutritional calculator, it will help you.

"clean diet" is eating healthy food and stay away from junk food: fast food... . thats all, no big science. EAT HEALTHY.

if you are doing cardio and dont see any results, your diet is definetly your problem.

before anything else,
what are you eating right now? whats you "diet"?
do you bodybuild? or just cardio?

a good diet is a balance of protein carbs and fat. you just cant aavoid one of this food groups or just eat a lot of one: you will never achieve your goals. what you need is learn how to combine them.

i suggest you to keep looking for information on this site, look at all post that attract your attention.

hope it helps,

PS:- the more protein you eat, the more fat you will lose.
- eat several smalls meals a day (5-6) to increase your metabolism and lose fat.
- look for EFA (essential Fatty Acids). you need fat to burn fat
- more muscle leads to more fat burning.
