I am obviously new here. And i OBVIOUSLY know jack nothing about any of this stuff. But i wouldn't be here if i didn't care about my self. I plan on going to the gym around 8 ish to night and im looking over this work out plan the computer here generated for me and i am just completely lost. What exactly is a Set# and what exactly is a repetition. Thanks so much in advanced.... We were all new here at some point so no need for the rude comments.

hmm i want to explain but i dont know if i will do such a great job, a repetition is how many times you do a lift or squat or whatever say it say's 12 reps so you lift the weight 12 times and that would be one set have a break and start again doing another 12 reps stop take a break and that would be a second set. God i hope i explained that right. anyone else feel free to correct me if i am so darn blond:)

example bench press- Weigh at top lower to chest,raise=1 rep. One whole movement of the excercise is a rep. Sets break up the reps. You can have a set with just 1 rep in it you can have 50 its to break it up. You can think of it is rounds in boxing or something(about to sound stupid) but say first round. First round complete probably 20 reps. Thats one round"set done" then you just complete the rest. something ive just known for so long but had no idea how to explain it lol
