A rep is the number of times that you do the exercise or set. I didn't laugh, but you did make me smile:) 1 1/2 years ago I didn't know either. I still yell across the gym and ask my husband "how many time do you want me to do this" I never yell "How many reps?" Welcome to FT, and good luck on all your goals. PS fill out your profile!

Ashunboy, don't worry about asking questions you think might be silly. The frequent users of this board are very accepting of people who are learning just as you are. 99.5% of them are very nice folks.
