Give Celadrin a shot! Great stuff, really works.

I have it in my left shoulder pretty bad. I broke the ball almost into when I was about 13. The best thing for tendonitus is exercise. Thats what the doctors told me. So far so good. When it does hurt me, I do a few exercises to help it cool down. Maybe even ice it.

Quoting from assante74:

What is Tendonitis?
=============
Sometimes the tendons become inflamed for a variety of reasons, and the action of pulling the muscle becomes irritating. If the normal smooth gliding motion of your tendon is impaired, the tendon will become inflamed and movement will become painful. This is called tendonitis, and literally means inflammation of the tendon.

I'm 59 and tendonitis is something I've lived with for 15 years.... Tennis elbow in both of mine but never played tennis. My right knee bothers me during squats from a fall off a scaffold 7 years ago. My left shoulder gives me some problems from working overhead though the years. I'm not a power lifter but I do work out regularly with lighter weights to failure and things hurt, especially my shoulder. I don't take pain killers.... I work through the pain. My point is, if you are injured you will know it and you should see a physician. If it is minor pain work through it.

One thing worth trying is Celadrin and Glucosamine. I've been using both for about 2 months now, and my shoulder is starting to feel alot better. I've had some physio on it in the past, and it did help, but I truly believe the Celadrin is making a big difference! I do not believe in working thru the pain, you just risk further injury.

fly, you are right to not work through the pain. My bad. i should have stated that it works for me. I worked as a carpenter for 35 years and pain is pretty much a common occurance, so I'm used to it. I had an MRI on my left shoulder 5 years ago and the doc recommended surgery, i.e. a cyst and some other words that are difficult to pronounce but being stubborn like I am I said no. I'll try the Glucosamine and Celadrin as I would like to eliminate the shoulder pain without surgery. Thanks :)

I've been told anything 'itis' means swelling, e.g. tendonitis is swelling in the tendons, arthritis is smelling in the wrists.
