Supplements can be a great aid with your health and fitness goals. Combined with the proper exercise and nutritional plan they can be quite effective.

HI everybody,

since i'm a new member i just wannt to say hello to everyone of you.

OK, i start working out for 2 month now without taking anything, not even protein, nothing, just eat home food even if i know that's not the best diet for a guy who want to gain mass and strengh.

I'm about 5,10, 247lbs but not that fat (ex-football player), but i do have some fat to lose.

So i just want you guys to help me starting here. i decide to start with the 100% whey protein and the hydroxycut ephedra free fat burners with a good nutrition diet from freetrainers.com.
My goals is to lose fat but to gain mass muscles and strengh.

Should i use right away creatine or pro-hormone like 1-AD to gain more mucles and strenght or should i wait a little bit with my proteine and fat-burner and then maybe after a 1st cylce (6 weeks) start using those products?

Thank you very in advance for helping me and explain me what will be the best for me. Thanks

hi mimosa7, welcome to FT!

I started out with a similar case, my opinion would be to start with a good fat burner (Xenadrine or Hydroxicut, your choice) and your Whey protein (I would suggest ON's 100% Whey Protein).

After a few weeks or your first cycle (6 weeks) you can then leave the fat burner for a month or 2, load on creatine and then switch back to the fat burner (if necessary) and continue using creatine on and off the cycle (I would suggest Prolab Creatine). Dont leave the whey protein shakes postworkout.

Again this worked for me and I lost around 45 lbs in 8 months or so and dropped my BF% from 24 to 12%.... dont forget your cardio, diet and rest...

Hope this helps

IMO you shouldn't use pro-hormones unless you've been lifting seriously for over a year and reach a plateau in your gains that you can't push through for some time.

Get all you can out of the protein and creatine for now and work on refining your diet. Stick to your training schedule for some time, then maybe you could try 1-AD and see if it gives you results beyond what you're already doing.

fat burners do nothing what so ever. Unless you do follow a proper and strict diet plan. Then it's the diet doing most of the work.
Creatine seems to give me 4 kg of body weight and the lubrication or whatever it does to knock out an extra rep or extra kilo regularly without tiring too quick. Great for supporting the ability to amass progressive gains, buy it!!!
bbfits grocery list, basal metab calculator, both on fit buddy search are great leaders for ya. Eat what the nutrition centre says in calories/protein/etc... and if you find it a bit too heavy after a fortnight, then trim off 200 calories and you've started well. Keep a food diary(online here too)it's worth the bother.

mimosa7, the reason why some people will tell you to stay away from fat burners is because they don't believe in it... some will be right about the fact that without ephedra, the only thing fat burners do is increase your heart rate and thus, try to burn calories faster... I guess it depends on each person's preferences, I can tell you I've used them and they worked for me without a very strict diet plan (and I'm not talking ephedra products either).

Again, the choice is yours, hope this helps

Thank you very much for those information. I think i'll start with 100% whey protein and the hydroxycut for a 1st cycle of 4 weeks, and then i'll start with the creatine (cell tech i think) but still consuming my 100% whey protein like you recommend me.

And i hope with a good training program, a good diet and good rest, i`ll see good result.

Thanks again to all of you for your advice.
