First thing is eliminate "junk" foods from your diet..sugar, high carb drinks, soda, etc., bascially a good idea is anything with 5 gr. of sugar or more ditch it. Your goal is to maintain bodyweight, and slowly drop bf. A big calorie drop right off the bat usually causes a big loss in muscle. You want to add calories(with nutrient density) to your diet, and supplements will be needed. I would keep cardio at a minimum the first few weeks, too much cardio too soon and your body will have nowhere to go and will adapt too soon. If you have the time, a 16 week period, depending on your current bodyfat, would be optimal for a good solid fat loss while retaining as much lean tissue as possible. Hope this helps. It is a good start, and time proven.

As far as genetics go, the skies the limit. You are limited only by your mental perception of it.

What really works is patience and to be able to LISTEN to your body and found out what works for you.

Try different stuff and notice the results.

Take a look in the diet forum (and do a search) and you'll find lots of great informative posts about the same subject.
Good luck!!
