I followed the nutrition plan and I'm gaining lbs is this normal???? Granted it was only a few days I have enough to loose never mind adding more. Any advice?????

PANIC!!!!! No, I am just kidding.
The nutritional profile here tends to give a high amount of calories.
How many calories do you think you were getting in daily before the program and how active are you, what do you weigh and what are your goals?

I was getting maybe 1000 cal per day, but my fat intake was double what trainer.com has. I was on a low carb diet, so my fat intake was high. I try to get to the gym 4 times a week and I have a workout from this webpage for weight loss and toning. I weigh about 163 and I would like to be around 140. Any advice you can give me would be great. Thanks

1000 calories doesn't seem like enough to me. I did Atkins once too, and I LOVED it, but I got bored with the food options. I think that I was getting about 1400 or 1500 calories a day, but eating mainly lean meats and fish and a ton of vegetables. After a while fried chicken and other high fat foods make you sick, especially in the summer.
Don't you think that Akins is a lot like the diet you get here, except the high amount of carbs. People like to trash it, but if you read the book you see it says lean meats are best after induction. Plus most of your carbs are veggies and fruits. I don't plan on ever eating 300 grams of carbs, but I will love having milk and yogurt again. I'm trying to design a meal plan for myself and I see it will be a challenge to eat a lot of calories. Fortunately I only was recommended 2051 or something, but I'll probably go for around 1700 to start with. Eggs in the morning, plus lean meat and veggies for lunch and dinner, plus milk/yogurt/fruit snacks should do it for me. I'm just worried about getting enough protein. I dont think I can get 154g or it, and I don't want to take protein supplements.
Let me know what you decided for calories, I need some help too!

bobosensei - not everyone here trashes Atkins - just the people who don't read beyond the induction phase.
Lean protein, vegetables and whole grains are a good base for a healthy diet. Include good fats like olive oil, peanut butter, almonds, walnuts and avocadoes.
1000 calories is too low, but if you increase your calories too quickly you will see some unwanted fat gain. If you gradually increase your calories, you should se an increase in lean mass , a boost in metabolism and energy, and fat loss.
Try increasing to 1200 calories for a few weeks, eat small meal every 3 hours, consisting of lean protein, complex carbohydrates and a little fat.
See how your body reacts and then up it again a little. Yopu need to be getting in 1,500 - 1,800 calories a day if you are active.
Getting in adequate protein can be a challeneg, but 154g a day is just 30 grams per 5 small meals, that is a can of tuna, 3 oz of chicken, not too much, really.
There is nothing wrong with supplementing with protein powder or meal replacement shakes. They are usually a high quality blend of protein in a form the your body can use readily. Especially after working out, they are very beneficial. And when in a time crunch, if the options are Mcd's or a shake - I am choosing the shake.
