Hey everyone! I am new here and was wondering, what is the first step to getting fit? Should I worry about my caloric intake? My workouts? How do I make the life change?:)

Welcome to FT!

One of the best things to do is get your diet in check. Also, pick a fitness plan from FT... the more muscle you have, the more calories you burn. But, it won't be completly successful without a good diet. If you are eating three large meals a day, try switching to five or six smaller meals per day.

There is many informative posts on FT... do some reading, exercising and eating well and you're on you're way!

Hope that helps!

One thing that may be helpful is for the next two weeks write down everything you eat, it will give you a good idea if you are eating enough or too much. Keep track of the proteins, carbs, calories, and fats, this will help you see where you need to make improvements. You haven't specified if you are wanting to lose weight or maintain with a healthier lifestyle, but the above works good for either. Then start exercising! When you implement a good diet and exercise you will be making the life change!!

WELCOME TO FT and GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR GOALS!!
