Enough weight that the last couple of reps should be hard to complete while still maintaining proper form. It may be trial and error for a bit, but you will catch on. Make sure you keep a log and good luck.
-------------- There are three types of people in this world: those who make things happen, those who watch things happen and those who wonder what happened. We all have a choice. You can decide which type of person you want to be. I have always chosen to be in the first group.

As KA states it is a fact. Noone can tell you what weight to start with unless we were there personally training you to see your capabilities. Strength is decieveing, I am sure many times you have seen a smaller person next to a bigger person, and thought, the bigger one was stronger, only to find that the smaller one was stronger.

Good example: At the gym last night, sat down at the leg press machine and put it at 40lbs for myself. My husband walked over and said isnt that to light, put it on 150 so I did and what a difference. I was pressing WAY to light but I thought it was fine,,,,,,,LOL
