I'm 22yrs old, 6'1, medium build, 185lbs. I've been running everyday and watching my diet (not as closely as I should but alot better than usual). I work out at home with dumbells, medicine ball, and resistance bands (as well as the traditional push-ups, crunches, squats..etc). I have a small gut and need to lose that extra fat. My goal is to get lean and toned and then to start building muscle. What would you guys suggest??? In order to tone up, what is the best way to lose this fat?

Why not get do both at the same time. Muscle burns fat. For the extra fat on your stomach, you'll have to adjust your diet. It also helps to do your ab workout before you go to bed as it will burn some calories.
