Hi all, first posting here. I'm Male, 5'7" 180 lbs, been working out for about 6 months now with a mix of cardio and weight training. I've lost about 30 lbs of fat, though still have a bit of a gut I need to lose. I want to spend the next 6-8 weeks bulking up and then see what I need to do to lose the gut after that, so I'm going to cut down most of my cardio.

Ok so after that lengthy introduction, what I've been doing is post workout drinking 2 scoops of muscle milk, though I've gathered that this isn't best due to slower casein absorption. I'm going to switch to whey for right after working out, but don't want to waste the tub of muscle milk. Would it still make sense to drink a scoop or two of the MM a) right when I wake up b) before working out c) right before bed or d) some combination? Thanks,

Whey is great for post workout; you are correct. But a blended protein is best for the rest of the day. The MM is fine for morning, night, etc., just not right before or right after working out.
Best of luck......
