I get most of my protein when i come home after school around 5. I get a good amount of protein at breakfast but i eat mostly carbs at lunch and kinda a lot at breakfast. when i come home i eat a lot of tuna and meats but i was wondering if it really mattered what time of day i ate my protein (other than post workout). i have more engergy when i eat carbs during the day and its easier to do it this way
im kinda along the same as you.. lots of carbs during the day, and my last big take in is with dinner. protein at night is going to be better, esp casein. carbs will just be stored as fat at night, and you dont really need a ton of em before bed, cuz ur not gonna use em. sounds like you are gettin some protein durin the day (and esp after a workout), so sounds ok to me
Yup...rule of thumb is carbs in the morning up till about 3ish and then protein and minimal carbs after that. Your body burns the carbs throughout the day but can't store protein over night while you sleep.
