I have been working out for about 8 mo. I am trying to eat clean and eat lots of protein. I was wondering when to start and what are some good supps. I have heared of muscle milk and 100% whey. I just don't know. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Those supplements are not necessary for you as long as you're able to consume enough protein from whole foods...You can take multivitamin for now if you so choose....to make up for any nutritional dificiencies in your diet....

wait until you have at least a year of experience....

then you may want to consider supplements like whey protien, cassein protein, glutamine, and ZMA....

I would still use the whey post workout.

How long after the workout would I wait until I use whey?

Mix it up and drink half of it immediately post work out. Then sip the rest for 45 minutes or so.

Post workout....try to drink a shake with 2:1 or even 3:1 ....in terms of simple carbs(dextrose) to whey protein.....(80-120carbs:40protein grams)....do this ASAP....within 15 minutes...chug it down....an hour later you can eat a meal....but you need to get your body flushed with nutrients to help you take advantage of the training you just did....the simple cabrs will spike up insulin...getting your body to take in more amino acids(protein) than it could normally do....which will help repair yourmuscles faster and help you recover sooner....ready 'Holy Insulin Spikes Batman' in Supplement section for a better understanding...
