i've read a tip on ft that you should do abs last in workout. is that correct?
i started out doing it that way, but changed over to do them 1st b/c toward the end of my workout, my abs are exhausted and i couldn't finish b/c of how much i use them as 2ndary muscles for other exercises.
my workouts last 45min to an hour 3 days/week

Hi fsimmons. I usually work my abs last. Abs are your support system when you are lifting. It is better to work them last.

Abs for the most part are pretty much "worked" throughout your workout indirectly anyway, therefore it may be best to do them last. As mentioned above, they are a support system. You may want to change this periodically though and do them first, especially if they are a priority, but only for a change. They do expend energy, and say for instance if you are doing them on chest day, you don't want to take needed energy away from your power movements like bench. I personally opt to do mine twice per week, on my "easier" days, like arms and back days. Just my suggestion.
