When is the best time to do cardio? Before your workout? Right after?

It all depends on you. Some like to do it b4 and some like doing the cardio after. Iusually do it before my weights except on my leg days. I just do 10 minutes to warm up b4 weights, otherwise its 30 min b4. Some like to save thier energy for the weights, then do the cardio, but i find myself too tired after.

The object when you do cardio besides cardiovascular health is to create a calorie deficit usually..i.e...to lose weight/burn fat. If this is the case, you will get much more advantage I believe by doing your weights when you are strongest(first), so you can overload the muscle to the fullest extent creating a growth environment, and doing cardio immediately following, when glycogen levels are pretty well depleted from the weight training. The theory is that your body will be forced to draw on fatty acids for fuel for this, thus burning fat and creating your calorie deficit for the day. This done over a period of time will result in more and more of a calorie deficit if your diet is correct, and you will lose fat. Doing cardio first robs you of needed glycogen for strength for lifting your heaviest weights, so you cannot properly overload the muscles.
