Hi, I have been hearing that you( a person) should work out on an empty stomach... Then I've heard you(a person) should eat on a full stomach..
Now I've been told the reason for eating on an empty stomach is.. so that your body will absorb more vitamins and minerals after the work-out...
And on the other hand to eat on a full stomach so your body will replenish what has been depleated..
Please help me with this.. thank you!

You should have something to eat about an hour or so before lifting - a mix of complex and simple carbs and some protein (oatmeal, eggs and some fruit maybe), post-workout you should be having some protein and simple carbs in the form of a protein shake.

You need fuel for your workout as well as replenishment afterwards. Working out on an empty stomach could cause your body top break down muscle for fuel. replenishing after a workout (within an hour) will speed nutrients to the muscle tissues and help stop destruction and start reconstruction.

I think if you eat light before your work out. (Something with a good amount of carbs in it.) Then eat a good meal afterwards, (Something with a lot of protein.) you will be good. The carbs will help aid you with energy. You definitely want to maintain a good diet all day long

you should definetly eat nefore you work out it is good to eat slow burning carbs. like any linda pasta or rice gives you more energy to work out harder and longer (fuels your muscles) and protein is good afterwards

If you work out any time of day besides fasted state(first thing in the morning with no food, which I am totally against except in the more extreme cases), chances are good unless you have some stupid retarted diet scheme that you have amino acids/nutrients in your system. Now, do you have enough to fuel the workout you are going to do without hitting the proverbial wall? This is where you have to figure your goals, etc. I would suggesst eating something with good fuel at the minimum of 3 hrs. pre workout, and this would be the furthest out. Remember, glycogen down, performance suffers.
