through the week i eat tuna with green beans, onion , broccolli, asparagus and wholegrain rice (all steamed)
i got some wholewheat pasta and like the texture better than the rice, is there any benefit to either? (just for my peace of mind) im not in a major rush to lose weight as ive lost most of it and exercise daily.
thanks

Most rice, even un-processed brown rice, and pasta isn't your best choice on a cut. But if you're going to eat pasta, wholewheat is a better choice. The more fiber per serving the better.
Ideally, most of your carbs should come from green veggies, whole oats, fibrous legumes, etc.

Depends on your goals and how much fat you want to lose. In the beginning, the pasta you mention or spinach pasta for instance, or brown rice is ok. But, you will reach a point where the fat loss will stop, and you will have to start eliminating it from your diet to get leaner(depending on how lean you want to get)

The Rice and the pasta have lots of carbs in them and you in order to lose fat, you will need to cut down on the carbs and go up with the protein.

sidz - I think if you fit it onto your intake allowances, wheat pasta is fine, you have indicated that you aren't really trying to lose much more weight. Wheat pasta, brown rice, beans are all good sources of complex carbohydrates, which your system needs for fuel.
Just stick to the serving sizes and eat lots of veggies/lean protein as well.

For serious cutting, you cannot beat beans as your carb source. Black beans, black eyed peas, lima, pinto, etc. (no pork and beans or any sugar added stuff)

Of course, if you have a significant other, they won't appreciate beans as your major carb source....
