Hey guys i was just wondering if i should take whey protein before and after my workouts or just after? or half a scoop before? Thanks for the help

take it 1-1.5 hours before you workout (along with some carbs to fuel the workout) and then take it within 30 minutes after you're done working out...

i take a shake with breakfast, one about an hour before lifting, and after i lift, and one before bed...the one after your workout should be mixed with water, all others can be mixed with milk. post workout you need the nutrients fast, and whey can do that without the cassein in milk (at least thats how i understand it works). i take about 30 grams each time total counting the milk.. thats what i do anyway

yup your protein intake is crucial right after your workout. It should be right after or within an hour after a workout. it's known as the "golden hour" as so i've read.

Hey guys i have the same problem but im in high school and then directly after school i have my power lifting. So i have no chance to take a shake before workouts. Is it really necesary to take it a hou rand a half befor working out?

No!
IMO a Meal of Whole Foods is Best and a shake after and some Whole Foods shortly after that.
I eat then go workout 30 minutes to an hour after then after I workout I have a shake and a banana and 30 minutes to and hour after that a light meal like a tuna sandwich or a turkey breast burger ect, before you know it it's time for supper.
I think a shake only before a workout makes for a weak workout because atleast for me I need a meal of Whole Foods to go and push myself hard as I can for 30 to 60 minutes and by time I'm done I need to refuel myself.

i pretty much do the same thing as SF...PWO shake within 30 mins after workout..then a small meal another 30 mins or so after that..
small snack for me before w/o tho...i think that depends on the person..i cant w/o on a really full belly..
