Im a 17 year old male, wanting to lose some body fat then add some lean mass to my frame and was wondering if is safe to comsume about 180g(body weight 179lbs) of protein a day? Also is it ok for someone of my age to consume whey protein drinks?
If i lose bodyfat will i also lose a lot of lean muscle that i already have?
Providing you are resistance training and putting your body through some muscular efforts, then go for that amount of protein. Try and get what you can from natural food sources before you supplementt.
If you are training while eating right you should not lose any lean tissue.
