I'm trying to get information for my son, he is 14 and plays football. He's not looking at bodybuilding but trying to gain strength for his sport. He is currently in the middle of his season and does weight workouts twice a week along with his practices throughout the week. He is a lineman and weighs 295 lbs., so he doesn't want to necessarily gain weight, but would like to possibly trim down and gain strength at the same time. My main question is how often should he take the protein shake, obviously after each workout, but what about off days and/or light (no weight training)days. We are new to this, so any help is very much appreciated.
