this is always a struggling question for me, I'm not sure which parts of the body I should workout on each day. I know about the fitness plan, but I don't think I am going to use that because I'm planning on focusing on cardio still for my two off days. What I want to do is work back, triceps, biceps, forearms on one day, and chest, shoulders, legs on the other. Does this generally make sense?

thats alot to do on one day if you ask me.............starting out I keps all my "pull" excercises toegther, and all my "push" one together ....then legs.
"push"...bench, shoulders, tris
"pull"....back,traps.bis
legs......hams, quads calves.
Everything depends on how may times a week you wanna work out.........3 to 4 days is best, anything more an drun risk over training.

yeah the push, pull, legs program is good and i think he would be over working his body in 2 days. you can however do full body workouts over 2 day periods. Alternate push and pull exercises... example: chest press (push) seated rows (pull) shoulder press (push) bicep curls (pull) skull crushers (push) legs
this is a simple plan, but you wont see results as well as you would if you separated your muscle groups in a 3 or 4 day routine

makes sense to me, thanks guys for your help. Maybe I'll do cardio just one day instead, or even do some cardio on leg day (after the workout of course)...that'll be 4 days at the gym.
