Actually it is pretty easy. All of the meals do not have to be equal in calories. I simply have breakfast at home, a snack of say cottage cheese with fruit and almonds around 10:30, workout at lunch followed by a PWO protien shake; full lunch when I get back to the office-sometimes home made sometimes purchased; light snack around 3pm; dinner around 6pm and sometimes a protien snack before bed. That's actually 6 meals per day and I work 9-5 every day...no problem!!

I do it and I work full time and have a family and all. Not that hard if you know where your priorities are.

natural foods typically arent't that expensive.. buy in bulk if its that bad. you can get a huge bag of rice for about as much as a box of doughnuts.. and it will last a hell of a lot longer. healthy foods are typically more satisfying too.. so you wont have to eat as much to feel as full, and will have oodles more energy

There is a specific post in the FAQs forum about how to eat right for less - look under the topic of grocery shopping tips.

eating six times a day osn't that difficult, yet most people use it as an excuse not to reach their goals - it is too time consuming, expensive, etc.

If you want results and you are motivated, you will find time to prep meals and pack them. It really only takes a few hours every few days to prepare and pre-pack healthy meals.

Example - Sunday evening - make dinner and also make 5-6 extra chicken breasts when you are cooking your main meal.
When you are making the green beans or whatever you are having with your meal, make extra. Cook a pot of rice.
Now, divide those extras into the right portion sizes for your meals and put them into tupperware. Voila, there are 5-6 healthy lunches. Now, put on a pot of eggs to boil. Once they are cooked (see'how to cook eggs' in the FAQs forum) and cool enough to handle, peel them and place 3-4 of them into plastic sandwich baggies with a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Add the baggies to the shelf in the fridge with your pre-packed lunches. Now you have a snack, along with an apple or some cut up veggies, you are good to go. Cottage cheese is cheap and portable, buy the larger economy size containers and divide into tupperware the minute you get home from the grocery store. Now you have more snacks!

really, everytime you make a healthy meal, cook an extra portion of everything and put it into tupperware and you will have a good selection pre-packed healthy meals for the next few days.

Kenny - you are on all of the other forums asking how to get bigger, ripped, etc. Why are you so negative about eating to reach those goals?

Oh, and cans of tuna are very portable, add some cut veggies and voila! A meal, maybe some whole grain crackers...I am getting hungry, can you tell?

I do, I eat five times a day and on a strict income as well. Raising two children, three counting ravenwolf, everyone knows budgets are always scrunched. If I can do it, you can do it. You have to make the most of what you purchase, find items on sale, buy in bulk if you have the storage room for it, etc. There are tons of ways.

Put it this way, if you can grab a candy bar to eat on a break at work, replace it with a meal replacement bar or shake, or a ziploc baggie of carrots or broccoli.

It all boils down to discipline.

wow. I used to get 6-9 in season. Things like power bars and protein shakes come in handy.
