We simply use it in place of regular spaghetti, and then use ground turkey and ground round, one half each, and whatever else you like to put in the pasta. Add some olive oil to the water when cooking the pasta. You can buy high protein pasta at the health food store. If it takes you some time to get used to the taste, just at first mix half regular pasta with half of the whole wheat or high protein. The brand we found is by Darielle, all natural, high fiber, high protein. 3/4 cup dry is 160 claories, 28 gr. of protein, 18 gr. of carbs, fiber 3 gr.

One of my favorite things to do that's really quick - not gourmet but tastes good - cook some whole wheat egg noodles; while they're cooking, spray a pan w/ Pam, brown some chicken chunks w/ salt and pepper, red pepper flakes or whatever to taste, then throw in some broccoli and stir fry, add a little water from time to time and cover to steam until everything is nice and moist but not soggy or swimming in water and the chicken is done through, broccoli tender, then drain the noodles, add them to the pan w/ a sprinkle of feta cheese, stir it all up and pour in a bowl.

I just posted a little recipe for it with tunafish, veggies, and salad dressing. It's really delicious.

I make my pasta salad with it and the protein brand Ron had mentioned. Lots of veggies (green peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, all the good stuff) and No fat Dressing, I like it alot, but my daughter won't eat it because of the texture of the pasta. It really is a pasta you have like.

I never thought of pasta as having protein. This is great info as I am really getting tired of brown rice.
