I don't know why you do this, also I am not able to squeeze chest muscles at top of incline presses, and while doing incline presses today for my chest I felt some stress on my shoulders, should the bench be really laid far back so its almost a bench press... or is feeling it in the shoulder and not always the chest normal...

the incline problem could be with your rotator cuffs.. i sometimes get it too. factor in some internal and external shoulder rotation exercises, and see if it still hurts in a week or two.
squeezing at the top of the movement tenses the muscle for a peak contraction. you flex on the upward motion, squeeze hard at the top, and slowly lower the weight under control. squeezing keeps the muscle working as tight as possible through the range of motion.

Will you not be able to build muscle as fast if you don't do that or something?

not necessarily.. just another training method. give it a go for a week and see how your body reacts.
