This is the kind of post that can bring out extreme responses so since I got here first, I'll post first. :) If you had said 3 or 4 a day, I'd think something should be looked at. You're talking about once a week. Is it the best for you? I have no idea but I learned a long time ago that as long as I don't do anything in excess, my body doesn't suffer and I'd rather live my life pleasantly. Will I live to be 90? I doubt it since I had entirely too many years in the navy. :)

Im with you jcmets. I am a college student and a "Frat boy" so cutting the drinking compleatly is probley my hardest task. I have been doing what i think is a lot better. I used to drink every thurs fri sat with the boys in the house. In a house of 95 guys its very easy to do. But i read something i think bb1fit posted and i kept it with me in the back of my head. We have all heard the rum and diet coke has 0 carbs and 0 sugers. But any shot of alc = to about 200 cal. In a typical rum and coke has 1 1/2 shots to 2 shots of rum. With this in mind i have given myself the will power to drink 1 time a week if not 1 time every two weeks and not to over do it no matter how bad the peer pressure is. What i have noticed after a night of drinking is that my body weight will increase by a couple lbs. But its all just water weight, and im back to normal with in a day or 2. To sum this up. I dont think its a bad thing and like bb said you have to keep your sanity. Just dont go overboard. Which it doesnt seem like you are doing.
