I am beginning a new workout program. My question is although I have a written program, and its for 3 days a week, which also includes a 5 minute cardio at the beginning. How many days should I just go treadmill a week
From your brief description, sounds like the treadmill only days would be of your choosing. Be careful of undertaking too much too soon, this normally leads to failure with most folks who are newbies as they take on more than they can handle. You are after a lifestyle change, take it slow and easy, try not do do everything at once or it becomes overwhelming.
