I'm more of a metalhead. Megadeth, Queensryche, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest,Killswitch Engage (My latest find that nobody has heard of more than likely), etc. Maybe I will have to try Yanni though since Mutt mentioned it.

I do different stuff. I listen to Hardcore (First Blood, Throwdown, Embrace the End), also some rap and lately some good trance mixes that are one continous mix for two hours (Armin Van Buuren - A State of Trance). The trance mixes are good because there are no breaks and it just keeps going and it keeps me going as well.

I listen to stuff with a good beat to it, something fun and bouncy, esp when doing cardio. I like all types of music, but lately have been into the pcd, and just about anything with a bouncy, get moving beat to it!!

i dont actually have my own playlist, but i read in some thread about iTrain (maybe it was from the threads on this website :( i dun remember)..
its supposed to be really good but its not free and you have to buy the playlist.. i think each playlist comes with a set of exercise that you should do with it or something, and i think that there's a voice over thing on it too.. www.itrain.com <- if you wanna chek it out  |

For me, its usually those hyper Japanese Ditzy pop music. It just makes me hyper when I'm doing my cardio. When I go in for weight training, I just switch to some Korean hip hop or rock. Yeah, I'm weird like that.

Okay, I'm old. My Ipod favs are B-52's, Pretenders, Paul Simon's Graceland, Tom Petty, CCR, Pulp (esp. Common People)...and Donkey Fish. I have some Motley Crue, Damn Yankees and Marilyn Manson songs that work. I don't enjoy working out to music that doesn't move me when I'm not working out. I also have Alanis on there. I am not familiar with most of what the rest of you are listening to.
I only wear my Ipod while I'm doing cardio. My gym has been playing mostly 70's and 80's rock 'n roll that absolutely inspires me when I'm in the weight room. Yeah, some of it takes me back to when I was 9 years old, but they were good memories. |

I've also done cardio with The Pretenders, but that doesn't work for me, too slow... and with Pulp, I haven't give it a try. |

I would have to go with 90's dance/techno, Missy Elliot/Ludacris/Justin Timberlake, and surprisingly Brittany Spears. I love to dance so when I start the cardio, I end up wanting to dance along. When I'm doing weights, it really doesnt' matter. Lately Snow Patrol has been the playlist of choice on my ipod when I hit the weights. : )

my musical tastes range from shopan and bach to wasp and insane clown posse, and everything in between cept country and (C)rap...
but my workout music has me stuck in the 80's heavy metal bands, ac/dc, dio, iron maiden, scorpions, judas priest, sabbath and so on. -------------- " Once upon a time there was a light in my life, Now theres only love in the dark " |
