To increase strength you will have to plateau on ur exercises. Try doing rep schemes of 10, 8, and 6 instead of 3 sets of 10. Later on, you can try doing more than 3 sets of an exercise.

Hector 11420...

I can't resist.
Hit the Doughnut stand three times a week. This will add mass and ease you into the routine.

Just a chuckle, cheers and good luck.

Good luck hector I don't know what the physical requirements are for NYC but being in law enforcement myself our requirements were not so bad. We had a 1 and 1/2 mile run, bf caliper test, grip strength test, flexibility testing, bench press (minimum 75% of bw) sit ups and of course accuracy testing let us know how you do. Hopefully you will love law enforcement as much as I do.
Good luck!! (Hey nerraw shove it up your ***) A large number of us are actually into health and fitness its not a joking matter our lives and yes yours someday could depend on the physical ability of law enforcement personnel.

Bowser..........
I thought that when cops were off duty they were human beings and might have displayed some semi human characteristics, such as a sense of humour!
I take your comment from whence it comes.

Never did I challenge the physical attributes of the force, you guys are some what sensitive hey? But rather poked some fun at the nutritional recreation employed by the majority of the "PC plods" on duty in the "Bad Apple".

Evidently from the tone of your respnses you are over-worked and I assume under some stress, which I'm inclined to believe is clouding your judgement and ability to respond in an appropriate temper. Should I need law enforcement in all it's physical prowess to save my bacon from a felon I can only hope and wish that it's not in your neck of the woods toward the end of your shift. Only you know how you'll react, but I assume the worst given your trite response to a candid comment.
