I was wondering what the concensus was working out while sick? Experiencing a head cold etc, Should I rest my body or go beat it up. I am scheduled to train today and do not want to miss it. Thanks!

Actually, and your probably not gonna want to hear it but, working out while your sick is probably one of the worst things you can do, that and standing outside in minus 30 degrees without a jacket. While you are sick the body taps all its natural reserves in order to fix the problem. Kind of like drinking after you work out, your body has the option of fixing your liver which you just hammered on with booze, or your muscles, and fortunately your organs know their roles more than you do. Working out while sick will divide the antibodies in your body, possibly making symptoms worse and also prolonging the sickness. The only thing i can reccomend while sick is to rest, rest, rest. and remember lots of fluids. take 2 to 3 weeks off and make sure you are genuinely feeling better before you stress your body out again. feel better.

WELL I got a nasty head cold and I trained. NO time for the sniffles every day out of the gym you loose a chance to grow or become stronger.

I find that if I am sick for any more than two days. Its time to catch up on stretching at home. Often neglected throughout my workout schedule. It is not hard on the nervous system, and lets face it we could all use more.

If it's a light cold then go ahead and workout...if you're feeling lethargic...tired....etc...then go ahead and skip it....
