What is a good excercise(s) to work out the buttocks? As I have gotten older gravity has taken hold.

Squats and leg curls do it for me!

Squats and lunges work greatly with your buttocks.
And when doing your cardio or warm up, jump on the stairmaster (and push with your heels!!!)

Hey..
yeah I have to agree.
- Deep Squats (you actually use your buttocks at the lower part of the rep)
- Lunges (walk from one end of your gym / house to the other then back with a pair of light dumbells)
- Leg Presses (single leg are great so you can really concentrate on the stretch and squeeze aspect)
- Also try lying flat on your stomach and raise each leg up and squeeze at the top. This is a very small range of motion but it REALLY hits the buttocks!
remember to have a complimentary diet.
Good Luck..

I'm surprised that straight leg deadlifts weren't mentioned. I guess it got over looke when listing all those other great exercises.

You should also try using the eliptical trainer during your cardio workout. Play around with the incline buttons. And do about 20 to 30 min of it. You will feel the burn. Good Luck.
