what kind of workout regiemt do you recommend for a tennis player who wants to lose weight, tone, and work on abs...

I would like to know what type of routine you would recommend for a 22 yr old female who is prior military (and has a very muscular body) but has put on some extra pounds... I particularly would like to work on leaning my muscles and getting rid of some body fat...
