Hey!

I have been training hard for about 9 months now doing basically cardio, pull-ups and dips. My wrists pop everytime I extend them and am curious as to treatment. They very rarely hurt, unless I just got done with my dips in my routine. I am curious if you think I should cut dips (which I hate to do since they are a huge part of my routine) or if there is any treatment. I type a lot and am thinking the combination of dips and typing on a laptop could be causing all of this.

Thanks for the advice!

sounds to me you are looking for an excuse to get out of doing dips. Dips are one of the most effective upper body exercises you can do. Naturally, anything worth doing is not going to be easy.
As for treatment, I would start incorporating some direct wrist work into your routine.

This is definitely not an excuse. I hate not doing them, that is why I'm asking if anyone knows a way to treat them. I'm up to about 38 good formed dips in a row now, but usually work 3 sets of 20.
I'll give the wrist excercises a whirl, I think my wrists are prone to damage because I used to powerlift. We'll see. Thanks again.

maybe you should add some weight to those dips if your doing 38 of them. just thinking ab doing 40 dips straight hurts my wrists.

Yeah, I took a couple weeks off from the dips and pullups. I also think typing on my laptop has something to do with it. Any more advice?

weighted... like wrestler said.. grab a weight belt and throw some on there... so at max you can do like 110... if that, cuz i dont know your goals. but doin that many is waaaaay to much.
