Hey I jut joined after finding this site on one of my million internet searches for "those melt-away exercies" that would make me thin and beautiful like i was 6 years ago at age 10! I know i am young, but i have already experienced all that adults talk about with yo-yo dieting and exercising... i just wish i didnt have to go through this... im 5'5 and 187...and though im not grotesque looking to others whenever i look in the mirror all i see is fat, and with no motivation around me, i feel as if i will never see anything other than fat. Im hoping someone on this site will help me to motivate myself to be better... please help!

Welcome CHILDSTAR. There are a bunch of great people on this site and I am sure they can help with motivation.
One nice thing about this site for motivation is even though I workout at the gym by myself I don't feel alone because of this site.
Keep posting and I am sure everyone will help however they can.

Most important thing to remember....Make little goals first. I used to weigh over 230lbs....I learned that I give up to quickly if I only made big longterm goals. My first goal was....going to the gym 5 days in a row. When I did this I knew I could do anything. Always keep your big goals in mind but focus on the little ones...like this week I won't have chocolate, etc. BUT rememeber if you slip at one meal...you haven't failed you just stumbled a little...so strive to do better on the next meal, or day. To many give up all together before they even get going. HAve fun and keep us posted PAT

welcome childstar, good luck on your fitness! We are here to help you along the way. What lonegirl says is right, just take baby steps and as you start to grow you can set bigger goals. A good thing for you to do in order for us to help you better is to fill out your profile, that way we can see what you wants are. Welcome again!!
