Does anyone have any knowledge in working with young kids? I have a 10 year old that is too young to join, but needs to lose a lot of weight. I read an article featured at ft that was excellent, but wondered if there was anything else I could do for him. So far, he is limited to 8 hours of T.V. watch per week. I have enrolled him into soccer and there is no junk food in the house. Anything else I could do?

I wouldn't worry to much he is only 10 I'm sure he will lose whatever weight your worried about. Just keeping him active and feeding him good quality foods will keep him healthy. Don't let him eat after 8:00 pm.

He is only 4'3" and weights 120lbs. I just feel I need to take action somewhere. He also has low-grade asthma.

Absolutely!! Turning off the TV will help; keep him active outside. Maybe he can play sports or karate, etc. Good luck!!
